Who we are
The Damask Rose Trust supports welfare and development projects in Syria and promotes appreciation of Syria’s cultural heritage among British audiences. |
| The Trust is a registered UK charity and was established in 2006 by a group of British and Syrian academics, development specialists and philanthropists. We are inspired by our affection and respect for Syria’s cultural heritage and concern about the needs of disadvantaged groups in Syria. We share a vision of Syrian society in which individuals, families and communities have the opportunity and means to achieve their development goals. We focus on training and capacity-building projects which meet the needs of disadvantaged groups, especially among youth, women, the elderly and people affected by disability. |
| The Damask Rose Trust is a registered UK company (company number 06162105) and was registered with the UK Charity Commission in January 2009 (charity number 1127432). |
